The relationship between Romelu Lukaku and the Red Devils has been rocky lately. But when he is there, Big Rom gets involved as usual.
For Cyril Ngonge, called up to the Devils in October, being able to count on Lukaku’s advice is a unique opportunity, as a striker: “Playing with Romelu is something extraordinary. It’s all the more true as I “I’ve known him since I was little. We’re close. It’s an honor to be able to play alongside a big brother.” RTBF.
“From the start, I was able to count on his support and help with a lot of affection. It’s not really a typical relationship between teammates, it’s more a relationship of big brother and little brother. Lukaku clearly takes responsibility the role of big brother and it’s a role that he is used to playing. For me, it’s really a relationship that I couldn’t enjoy more” admits the Neapolitan striker.
Lukaku tells it like it is
Thanks to Lukaku’s advice, Ngonge can only become a better player: “If something is wrong, Romelu is the first to tell me. If there is something right too. So it’s positive for me . He encourages me a lot.”
HAS NaplesBig Rom’s contribution was immediate: “He arrived with some experience. He puts it at the service of the team. Everything was already going very well from the first training sessions.”
Lukaku played at home against Italy, but was not in the game against Israel. This earned him criticism. Especially since he had already missed the first two gatherings: “He said he could accomplish something big here in Naples. He was not yet 100%, because he arrived later than the others “It would have been easier to join the national team than to stay here or work even harder and focus on himself.”
