Hunting or killing?

The facts date back to January 2021 in , when a team reached a hunted deer in a boat which had taken refuge in a pond. Lola intervened by jumping into the water, followed by another activist. The judges must determine whether this action prevented the act of hunting, and whether there was even an act of hunting. Indeed, according to the Environmental Code, “killing off a mortally wounded or at bay animal does not constitute an act of hunting”.

Another case concerns Emmanuelle, prosecuted for having used a spray whose contents would have served to disorient hunting dogs. For activists, this act was only intended to keep insects away. The judgment will be rendered on February 3, 2025.
