While the wind is expected to increase in the afternoon, several interventions have already been recorded this Thursday, November 21 due to storm Caetano in Vendée. We take stock at midday.

Firefighters mobilized

Between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., firefighters intervened nine times in the department. They were mobilized as part of a drying out, three tree falls, three property protections such as roof coverings in particular and two reconnaissance/patrol operations.

18 requests for lane clearance were also recorded. They were entrusted to the municipal services of the municipalities concerned.

Gusts of more than 100 km/h recorded

The first data recorded by Climat-Vendée show that the wind has already blown strongly this morning. The strongest gust was recorded on the island of Yeu with 106 km/h wind. The other data are as follows: 95 km/h in Noirmoutier-en-l'Île and Château-d'Olonne, 93 km/h in Perrier or even 91 km/h in La Roche-sur-Yon.
