Caisse des Dépôts is a public financial institution created by the law of April 28, 1816. With its subsidiaries, this institution forms a public group engaged in long-term investments, dedicated to the general interest and the revitalization of territories.

As a reminder, the Supervisory Commission supervises and validates the essential strategic decisions of the Caisse des Dépôts group (whose total aggregate balance sheet exceeds 1,300 billion euros). It deliberates in particular on strategic orientations, investment operations exceeding 150 million euros and adopts the budget.

“A context marked by unprecedented economic instability”

Re-elected deputy in 2024, Jean-René Cazeneuve has sat on the Finance Committee of the National Assembly since 2017. From 2022 to 2024, he is the general budget rapporteur and coordinates parliamentary work on budgetary texts.

He also sits within the delegation of local authorities and decentralization, of which he is today vice-president after having been its president between 2018 and 2022. Before devoting himself to public life, he accumulated 32 years experience in the private sector, most recently serving as deputy general manager at Bouygues Telecom.
