Violent storm alert: 25 departments in orange for Saturday, a Sunday between clouds and clearings

The greatest caution is required on Saturday because of the forecast storms, which will be the result of a powerful conflict of air masses and a disturbance that will come up from Spain.

Météo France has placed 25 departments on orange alert for Saturday.

The departments concerned are Landes, Gironde, Charente, Charente-Maritime, Vienne, Deux-Sèvres, Cher, Nièvre, Haute-Saône, Saône-et-Loire, Jura, Côte-d ‘Or, Yonne, Aube, Haute-Marne, Marne, Ardennes, Meuse, Moselle, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Vosges, Haut-Rhin and Bas-Rhin.

The predicted maximums are 18°C ​​in Tarbes; 19°C in Pau; 21°C in Auch and Foix; 22°C in Agen; 23°C in Toulouse and Rodez; 24°C in Montauban; 25°C in Carcassonne and Narbonne; 26°C in Castres and Cahors; 27°C in Albi.

Elsewhere in France, storms will break out in the morning between the Basque Country and the Center-Val de Loire giving heavy rain, up to 30 mm in 3 hours and 50 to 80 mm during the day from Gironde to Landes, d ‘after The Weather Channel. From Pays-de-la-Loire to Ile-de-France, Champagne-Ardenne and Lorraine, the sky will be cloudy with locally stormy showers. In PACA, the sky will be crowded. In the afternoon, storms will hit Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Maximum temperatures will be between 18°C ​​near the English Channel and 34°C locally in the Alsace plain and Corsica.

In the morning, the showers from the day before will still be present in Gers, Tarn, Aveyron and Lot. In the other departments of Occitanie, the clearings will return. In the afternoon, the clearings will gain ground in the region but the sky will become overcast on the foothills of the Pyrenees. Around the Mediterranean, the sky will be overcast. The maximums announced are 19°C in Rodez; 20°C in Tarbes and Rodez; 21°C in Toulouse, Pau and Auch; 22°C in Montauban, Agen, Albi and Cahors; 23°C in Castres and 24°C in Carcassonne and 26°C in Narbonne.

Elsewhere in France, Saturday’s storms will finish clearing out on the eastern coast. The weather will be gloomy and almost autumnal in the northeastern quarter of France. The clearings will return on the western coast of the country. The sun will shine around the Mediterranean with wind. Temperatures will drop, no more than 20°C from the Paris basin to the Toulouse plain and up to 25°C in the Rhône Valley.

The first week of July will be marked by clouds and some showers in the northern two-thirds of France. However, some nice clearings will develop over France but the air will be cooler. It will even be autumnal near the Channel. Around the Mediterranean, the sun will reign all week with a little mistral and tramontane.
