The trend is confirmed. As our colleagues from L’Est Éclair revealed at the start of the week and then confirmed this Friday, June 28, contacts between ES Troyes AC and Antoine Sibierski are on the verge of being successful. Initially announced by the Castelroussin leaders as having to be the future coach of Berrichonne, Antoine Sibierski did not follow up on this proposal. The oral agreement that was supposed to exist between the two parties did not carry much weight.

Sports director at Estac

In all likelihood, Sibierski will resume training at Estac on Monday 1is July, but not as coach. David Guion, who arrived from Bordeaux during the season, will retain his position as coach, while Antoine Sibierski will be the club’s sporting director, a position he already held at RC Lens in 2012-2013. The link between Estac and Sibierski, a former Manchester City player, probably comes from the City Group to which the Troyes club belongs.

Whatever happens, Sibierski will only have remained a fleeting coach at Berri, arriving as Olivier Saragaglia’s assistant last February. The latter having been ousted, Sibierski occupied the chair of head coach during the last three days of the 2023-2024 season, which allowed Berri to snatch his maintenance at the last minute.

Two days after the demotion to N2 decided by the DNCG and contested on appeal by the club, Berri no longer has, to our knowledge, a coach even though the resumption of training was announced on Wednesday July 3.
