at the UNSS departmental schools, school sport as we like it

The Château de Candé, made available by the Departmental Council of Indre-et-, hosted the UNSS departmental cross-country championships for the tenth consecutive time this Wednesday. And this is no coincidence, because the area offers an ideal playground to accommodate all the educational establishments in Touraine.

Once again, the party was great and the 2,000 competitors had a blast, whether for the places of honor, or just for the pleasure of sharing a good time with friends while wearing the colors of their establishment. .

Castelrenaudin Crechet-Lemaire leaves a lasting impression

The afternoon began with a bang with the cadet-junior race, logically dominated by Manon Pichavant (Balzac high school, ) ahead of Eléna Gardeau (Jean-Monnet high school, Joué-lès-Tours). The winner, who attacked in the main difficulty of the course, located in the woods 400 m from the finish, displayed her ambitions “hoping for a podium at the next FFA regionals in January, before getting a great place in ! “.

In the junior boys' race, which took place a few minutes later, the talent of young Lino Crechet-Lemaire (André-Bauchant college, Château-Renault) struck people's minds. “I thought I would be further ahead, but there was competition today,” including Axel Sardaine from the Jean-Philippe-Rameau college in Tours, who finished five seconds behind the winner.

“For my first athletics season, I am trying to understand and learn well, to know how to master the competition,” added Castelrenaudin. The ex-footballer learns quickly, and we should talk about him again very soon.

The Jean-Monnet high school dominates in cadets-juniors

Elliot Caillé (Jean-Monnet high school, Joué-lès-Tours), has already been talked about. Notably by taking second place in the academic championships last year. On Wednesday, he barely drew on his resources to win the cadet-junior race. He even allowed himself the luxury of waiting for his two school friends, Hector Delamaison and Antoine Amar, who were competing as juniors, thus offering an arrival practically hand in hand for the three students from the Jocondian high school.

“We wanted to do one-two-three, but we didn’t really know the competition. We left straight away and after the first loop, we looked at each other and waited for each other”explained the winner. The France UNSS, next March, are in the sights of the Jean-Monnet high school: “We have a real team with the girls as well, so we hope to get a good place at the French championships. »

Léonie and Adèle Lelièvre, twin sisters at the top

Among the other runners who stood out, we will remember the carelessness of the two twin sisters Léonie and Adèle Lelièvre (Raoul-Rebout college, Montlouis-sur-Loire), dominating young girls. The two Tours FC footballers did not regret having missed training.

For the youngest children, we also liked the devastating sprint of Tiago Thouet (Pierre-de-Ronsard college, Bourgueil), ahead of Gabin Chiocca (Choiseul college, Amboise), just like the solo rider of Zoé Delerue (Champ de la Motte college, Langeais) in minimal girls, coming to close a day where teachers, middle and high school students (re) showed what constitutes the DNA of school sport.
