The current courtyard Labor marketlocated 156 boulevard Louis-Blanc in La Roche-sur-Yon, has just been renamed Court of Honor Samuel Paty.

This was decided by the municipal council on June 20, following a unanimous vote and “after consultation with the commission responsible for the naming of roads and public spaces and following a request from the Friends of Samuel Paty association 85 to obtain a place to pay homage to the deceased servants of the Republic.”

This is the main courtyard of the former IUFM of La Roche-sur-Yon.

Guy Batiot, elected ecologist and member of the Samuel Paty 85 association, thanked (through Florence Lemaire) the municipal council for this decision.

This symbolic place of the former teacher training college reinforces the desire that we would like to see unanimously in our country to defend the servants of the Republic.

Samuel Paty was born on September 18, 1973 in Moulins in Allier.
