The Municipal Social Action Center (CCAS) offered seniors a cycle of three theater sessions at the hospital's nursing home. The first session was performed by two actresses on Friday: Mnemotynes, by Cie le Crapaud Buffle.
A show also a pretext for discussing the history of wash houses, a place of conviviality and social ties in their time. A dive into the past experienced by the elders, taking them from their birth to today.
Manufacturing of the blanket, transformed into a coat, then into a scarf, to finish in a braid and pompom made by a grandmother for her granddaughter… The public was involved as an actor, giving their opinion to the questions asked by the actresses. Déborah Turmeau, facilitator at the nursing home, insists: “It’s bringing out the past, memories, sharing them, breaking the isolation of seniors coming from outside to meet our residents. »
