The majority demonstrated the commitment to continue implementing the government program and to work to strengthen the projects of the social state.

Policy : The presidency of the government majority held its ordinary meeting on Wednesday June 26, 2024.

The meeting was chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, President of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) Party, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, National Coordinator of the Collegiate Leadership of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, and Nizar Baraka, Secretary General of the Istiqlal Party. The meeting was also attended by Rachid Talbi Al-Alami and Samir Koudar. After an in-depth and responsible debate on the latest developments on the national scene, the presidency of the government majority praised the cohesion of the components of the majority and the consistency of their positions on all issues, which led to the positive result of the government presented by the head of government before the two Houses of Parliament, despite all the crises and constraints encountered during this period, including the repercussions of the Covid pandemic, the drought as well as the effects of geopolitical tensions on supply chains.

The components of the majority highly appreciated the new and unique method of government management based on the effective implementation of the commitments included in the government program and the rapid and positive interaction with urgent problems. The participants in the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the pace of implementation of the government program, while welcoming the financial engineering put in place by the government to ensure the sustainability of the financing of the state social workshops.

The meeting was an opportunity to recognize the excellence of the work carried out by the parliamentary groups of the majority in the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors, in order to activate their constitutional prerogatives in matters of legislation, control and evaluation. In the same context, they praised the institutional interaction within the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors, on the part of the opposition groups in order to strengthen the political role of Parliament as an institution for democratic debate in our country.

The participants highlighted the central role of local authorities in a local approach that meets the expectations of citizens, which requires strengthening their roles in order to consolidate the decentralization process, improve basic services, raise the level of the local development index and reduce regional disparities. Finally, the majority expressed their commitment to continue implementing the government program, to work on strengthening the social state projects and to give priority to the employment file for the remainder of the government mandate.
