Greater Lyon has been supporting local businesses in their ecological transition for several years. This involves in particular a regional reorganization around the preservation of resources. Since 2022, dozens of EIT and industrial waste reduction projects have seen the light of day. From 2025, the Pivot Circular program will help companies integrate more sobriety into their economic model.
Aware of environmental impacts and the power of circular and preventive actions, the Lyon metropolitan area is bringing regional and local partners along with it. Objective: to bring economic players to play a driving role in the ecological transition of the territory. To this end, several support programs on EIT and waste recovery have been launched since 2022, leading to the emergence of innovative companies in textiles, construction, food, mobility, culture, etc. Since 2022, the Metropolis has financed 1.13 million euros of equipment to reduce the consumption of materials or improve the recovery of waste from 37 companies.
