Launched for the first time in 2023, the pop-up Christmas store in Meslay-du-Maine (Mayenne) will open its doors again at the end of 2024, from November 22 to January 4, 2025.

“The 1st edition was a total success,” says Émilie Courtay, leather goods from L'Arboricoleuse and active member of the pop-up shop. Attendance was high and in total, the exhibitors made around €23,000 in sales, which is very good for a major first. »

This year, change of location for the pop-up store: after having stayed at 1, rue de la gare near the market square, meet at 1, rue de Laval.

“The previous premises are now occupied by a shopkeeper. The new premises provided by the municipality are well located on the street with large windows. I think we will gain visibility,” says Emilie Courtay.

Around twenty exhibitors

Like last year, the exhibitors will take turns throughout the period: “ The schedule is accepted by everyone. At all times, there will be at least three exhibitors with a varied product offering. »

In total, 23 exhibitors will participate in this operation. While some were already present last year, seven new faces will take part in the party, including Les Barbotines from Ruillé-Froid-Fonds, as well as natural soaps and cosmetics from Solina. “It is important to renew the product offering so that visitors have a wide choice. »

Local gifts at all prices

Food, jewelry, cosmetics, engravings, there will be something for everyone. The opportunity to find original and local Christmas gifts.

“During the first edition, a large majority of buyers took advantage of this store to make their Christmas gifts. We even heard some say that they did not need to go to Laval», Confides the leatherworker from L’Arboricoleuse.

In addition to having quality products whose manufacturing origin is known, they “remain at affordable prices”, enough to satisfy all budgets.

Gift cards and a raffle

As a new addition, the collective at the head of the pop-up shop decided to do gift cards: “The goal is to allow holders to come between Christmas and January 4 to give themselves the gift of their choice! »

Another novelty,one raffle per week will be organized. Participation is simple; Each time you go to the checkout, you get a ticket which allows you to win the basket of the week.

The inauguration of the 2nd season of the Meslin Christmas pop-up store will take place on Saturday, November 30, in the presence of local elected officials.
