An event steeped in history
Beyond the party, it is the identity of Podensac and a legacy which continues during the feast of Sainte-Catherine, as Jean-Marc Depuydt explains: “The Sainte-Catherine Fair is at the heart of the identity of Podensac. It brings together residents, artisans and visitors in a spirit of sharing that spans generations. »
As a reminder, this feast of Saint Catherine has become over time a real institution : “The Podensac fair, halfway through 19th centurywas invariably done November 25thwhatever the day… and since then, it has continued to bring together an ever-present and loyal crowd, more than a thousand visitors last year! The tradition continues, thanks to a dynamic and ever more inventive team from year to year. Gastronomy, tastings and discoveries: the Sainte-Catherine fair is a whole universe where pleasures take on all their importance…”
The importance of volunteers
The municipality also points out that nothing would be possible without the local actors and volunteers who invest each time in the organization of the Fair and guarantee its smooth running.
Thanks to the volunteers who got involved in the organization of this event, the public will be able to appreciate the range of free entertainment and activities that they have put together for them, putting all their heart into it.
See you on Sunday, November 24 in the streets of Podensac for a festive moment tinged with history.
