Gironde placed on orange alert this Thursday for violent winds

The Gironde department has been placed on orange alert for violent winds by Météo-France. A strong westerly wind will blow at the very beginning of the day on the Atlantic coast, then progress inland during the day.

Strong gusts, between 100 and 120 km/hare expected on the Gironde coast and up to 110 km/h inland, indicates the Gironde prefecture.

Langon town hall and the Gironde Prefecture call for caution

In a press release published on Facebook, around 7 p.m., Langon town hall calls for caution. “Limit your travel. Limit your speed on road and highway. Do not walk in the forest and on the coast.
