The RC Vannes has just made a nice move on the transfer market by recruiting Fabrice Metz for the next two seasons.

Metz, 33 years old and originally from Strasbourg, leaves Pau after eight years to join the Bretons in Top 14.

A boost of experience for the Vannetais

Vannes, which has just moved up to the Top 14 after its victory against Grenoble In Pro D2 finale, continue to be reinforced.

On Thursday, the club announced the arrival of Fabrice Metz, a 1.98m second row who has been playing for Pau since 2016. With over 200 Top 14 matches under his belt, Metz brings his valuable experience to the Breton team, which will discover the elite of French rugby.

Metz route

Metz started rugby in Alsace, in Molsheim, before joining the training center of Racing 92. He played three seasons with the Racing pros before being loaned to Oyonnax for a season. In 2016, he signed for Pau where he became a pillar of the team, playing 168 matches in eight seasons. Even though he has had less playing time recently, he remains a key player with plenty of Top 14 experience.

A new challenge in Brittany

Joining Vannes is an exciting new challenge for Metz. His experience will be crucial in helping the club establish itself in the Top 14. Metz, known for its seriousness and leadership, could quickly become a central element of the Vannes team. His first match back in Pau with the Vannes jersey promises to be a highlight of the season.

With recruits like Metz, Vannes shows that it does not intend to make up the numbers in the Top 14. Supporters can expect an exciting season, full of challenges and emotions. RC Vannes seems determined to find a place among the elite of French rugby.
