Charlene of Monaco and Prince Albert, in love like the first day, celebrate their wedding anniversary

In recent months, Princess Charlene of Monaco and Prince Albert have been closer than ever. In mid-June, the royal couple rekindled the Olympic flame hand in hand (proving that the two spouses did not need to rekindle the flame between them). A few days later, Jacques and Gabriella’s parents attended the Monte Carlo Festival arm in arm. Albert and Charlene seem as in love as on the first day. And yet, they have been married for 14 years – exactly! – The Monegasque sovereign and his wife are celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary this Monday, July 1, 2024!

Charlene of Monaco and Prince Albert celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary with a tender photo

Charlene of Monaco and Prince Albert II officially said “yes” to each other on 1is July 2011 during a civil ceremony in the Throne Room of the Palace of Monaco. Their religious marriage was then celebrated the following day, July 2, in the Cour d’honneur of the Prince’s Palace. But Their Serene Highnesses nevertheless wanted to mark the date of their first union with a white stone. This Monday, July 1, the Instagram account of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, the official account of Charlène and Albert, shared a publication celebrating the (lily of the valley) wedding of the princely couple.

“Happy wedding anniversary to Their Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene”, can we read under the post, in the caption of a previously unpublished photo of the Monegasque sovereigns. In the touching photo, Prince Albert II and Charlene of Monaco are immortalized on the balcony of the Prince’s Palace, and we can see the prince looking at his wife lovingly while tenderly touching her back. A gesture of affection that says a lot about the love that unites them, especially since it is not rare. Far from certain European royal families who prohibit any physical contact in public, Albert and Charlene of Monaco have indeed increased the tender gestures in recent months. For the princely couple, 13 years indeed seems to be a lucky number. As far as love is concerned anyway.
