The Pride March will take place on Saturday June 29 in Paris. This will head towards République from Porte de la Vilette at 1:30 p.m. LGBTQIA+ associations want to focus on defending transgender people.

Organized for the very first time in June 1977, the Parisian Pride (or Gay Pride) march will take place this Saturday from 12:30 p.m. This year, the route will start at Porte de la Villette and will go to République, notably via avenue de Flandre or rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin.

The demonstrators will first gather at the Corentin Cariou metro station, where speeches will be organized around 1 p.m. The walk will begin around 1:30 p.m. and should last approximately three and a half hours.

“Transolidarité” as a credo

The inter-LGBT, organizer of the March, makes “transsolidarity” the major fight of this edition.

“In the face of the extreme right, its allies and the complacent, let’s march on June 29 to defend LGBT+ people, and in particular transgender people. Against transphobia: transsolidarity,” writes the federation of associations on X.

The legendary floats, absent from the event since 2019 for ecological reasons, will return this year in a “light” version in order to “continue work on eco-responsibility and decarbonization of the event”, declared Inter-LGBT in February.

Upon their arrival at Place de la République around 5 p.m., demonstrators will be able to benefit free of charge from the presence of numerous artists on the Grand Podium at the end of the march, such as Bilal Hassani and Eddy De Pretto.
