On Sunday June 23, US Condes organized its traditional six-a-side tournament in which 20 teams participated. It was won by the “Niglos”, a team made up of young people from Chaumont and Condom.
Probably due to the cancellation the day before of the Arc-en-Barrois tournament, well over 20 teams showed up in the morning, but there was no question for the US Condes of exceeding this number.
Remember that the sixth is a reduced variant of football with teams of only six players who play across the width of the field. This allows you to play two matches simultaneously, which last only 8 minutes, then 10 minutes in two parts of 5 minutes for the finals. Only a few teams were in the championship, many were formed for these tournaments, with humorous names, like: “FC Pupuce”, “FC Bayern de Monique”, “Milan Broken”, etc.
Some girls played as “Les Faridettes”, they will be part of the future women’s team of US Condes. The team “Les Flamands roses” was also expected to be the next U18 of the club. The two groups of ten teams formed, the 90 matches started at 10 a.m. and ended after 7 p.m.
The late hour led to the cancellation of the consolations. The small final pitted “Petits-Loups” against “Cantarel” (1-2) and the grand final pitted “Blue-Lock” (manga name) against “Niglo FC” (2-3). This resulted in the final ranking: 1is, “Niglo FC” ; 2e, “Blue-Lock” ; 3e, “Cantarel” ; 4e“Les Petits-Loups”. All teams were rewarded according to their position. The club also presented a cup to the “Faridettes”.
