The Green candidate who is representing the NFP in the first constituency of Chartres brings together more than a hundred people in the exceptional setting of the organic farm of Colombier. “We are a glimmer of hope between the extreme right and extreme money.”

Jean-François Bridet’s last public meeting, on the eve of the first round of the legislative elections on June 30, is a reflection of a campaign that enchants those who participate in it. At once very serious but marked “by joy and beauty.”

First there is the place, the Colombier farm in Néron, an organic farm in an exceptional natural setting. Then there is the atmosphere, with a jazz orchestra and more than a hundred people quietly waiting for the environmentalist candidate who is defending the program of the New Popular Front in the first constituency of Chartres.

“Turning a death trap into something creative”

Thursday June 27 in the evening, Jean-François Bridet is serious, but happy among activists and sympathizers who have a smile.

“We have managed to turn a death trap into something creative. This union of the PS, the PC, EE-LV and LFI energizes everyone. We no longer know which party people are from, we are all here to protect democracy. We are a ray of hope between the extreme right and extreme money.”

He is all the more comfortable with this erasure of labels because he himself is not part of any party, only an environmentalist.

But, in the NFP program, he finds the roots of his political commitment in the ranks of Touche pas à mon pote and the Rouges-Verts party which disappeared in 1998.

“A program that responds to social emergencies and prepares for the future by offering lasting development.”

Mounir Satouri (right) MEP came as a neighbor: “I happily come to Eure-et-Loir, every time I am invited.”
The evening continued in the company of supporters such as Mounir Satouri, EE-LV MEP, who came as a neighbour from Yvelines, François Bonneau, PS president of the Centre Val de Loire region, François Ruffin, LFI MP for the North and Cryil Dion, author and climate activist, all three of whom recorded a video in support of Jean-François Bridet.
