Due to upcoming snowfall, the Normandy region has decided to suspend school and commercial transport this Thursday. These suspensions concern Orne, Eure, Manche and Calvados.
The first snows of the year. While snowflakes are expected in Normandy this Thursday, November 21, Météo-France has placed Orne, Manche, Calvados and Eure on orange alert.
In these same departments, school and commercial transport lines will not run all day, the region specifies in a press release this Wednesday, November 20.
Transport maintained in Seine-Maritime
On the other hand, the suspension does not concern Seine-Maritime “subject to local weather conditions”. Depending on the region, disruptions are still possible in the department.
Families will be “quickly notified”, as will schools and organizing authorities.
Tomorrow Thursday, Météo-France forecasts snowfall of around “2 to 5 cm”. Not all of Normandy will be affected by these snowfalls, which are, for the moment, not yet certain.
The south of Eure and Orne will be the sectors most to watch. According to the site from Météo-France, Snow is currently expected on Thursday afternoon in the municipalities of Alençon, Argentan and Domfront.
