The ÉTER system is making a comeback in Hauts-de-France. For several summers, it has made it possible to travel in the region by train, with daily journeys offered for €1. This year it will take place between July 6 and August 25. Many destinations are offered, both by the sea and in town, including Boulogne-sur-Mer, Étaples-le-Touquet, Le Tréport Mers-les-Bains but also Amiens, Beauvais, Chantilly, Lille, Tourcoing or Valenciennes. Among the new stops proposed, we find the Phalempin and Orchies stations, indicates the TER Hauts-de-France website.

Discounts for cultural activities

Seasonal lines are also set up for the duration of the operation. Some will only run on weekends, like Jeumont-Dunkerque or Laon-Calais. The Paris-Le Tréport line will run every day.

Another new feature this year: the possibility of benefiting from reductions in certain cultural places, upon presentation of your ÉTER ticket. Packs are for example offered to discover the Château de Chantilly, the Louvre Lens or the Nausicaa aquarium in Boulogne-sur-Mer.

To buy at the station or online

This transport offer can also be used to go to certain festivals such as Nuitssecretes, which will take place from July 12 to 14 in Aulnoye-Aymeries, or the Plein Air festival in Douai, on August 24 and 25. Those who would like to enjoy the sea are also served. Free shuttles are available to reach certain beaches such as Berck, Le Touquet or Noyelles-sur-Mer.

These tickets can be purchased at regional ticket machines and at ticket offices in all Hauts-de-France train stations. Mobile station teams can be requested. They can also be obtained online on the SNCF website.
