The worst temporarily avoided

Gérard Lopez and the rest of the scapular club management were present in Paris today to defend the Aquitaine club’s case before the DNCG. The National Management Control Department therefore did not downgrade the club as a precautionary measure, as was possibly possible. A few minutes after the DNCG’s decision was made public, the Girondins de Bordeaux published a press release.

The press release:

“FC Girondins de Bordeaux continues the work following the decision of the DNCG. The National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG) having pronounced a stay of decision pending additional elements, this additional period will allow FC Girondins de Bordeaux to finalize the ongoing negotiations with a view to the arrival of new necessary financing at the Club in the coming seasons.”

The last chance

On July 9, the Bordeaux leaders will have to appear before the DNCG again, this time with the documents to validate the financing of the next season. An agreement with an investment fund is being drawn up, as suggested by the club’s press release and media reports.
