After the installation of a cycle bridge above national road 165 on the night of June 25 to 26, 2024, the community council of Vannes agglomeration (GMVA) of June 27, 2024 will discuss the footbridge over the railway tracks.

Study time

A cycle path between Vannes and Plescop of nearly two kilometers includes two walkways.

Community elected officials discuss the Vannes/Plescop (Laroiseau/Kerluherne) cycle development. “Crossing the railway requires the implementation of a footbridge, the installation of which is planned for 2025. The installation of this work involves related railway works, under project management of SNCF networks”, points out Denis Bertholom, vice-president in charge of mobility, travel and transport infrastructure at GMVA.

The estimated amount of studies and works to be financed is distributed as follows: a preliminary studies agreement: €21,627, an AVP-PRO-DCE studies agreement: €39,213 and a work delivery service contract: €275 €985.

What schedule?

The installation of the footbridge is scheduled in May 2025 (subject to change). “The preparation period will be approximately one month. The civil engineering work will then be undertaken at the end of the year for installation in May,” adds Frédéric Le Gouesbe, operations manager for GMVA.

“The slot is already reserved with the SNCF. This requires studies and conventions. The call for tenders has been launched. We hope to know the company before the end of the summer,” he adds.
