From July 5 to 7, 2024, the Palais des sports in Villefranche-sur-Saône and the Escale in Arnas will be the scene of the national women’s team gymnastics championship. For three days, 1,600 gymnasts divided into 134 teams of 10 to 12 members will compete in floor, beam, vault and uneven bars events, under the supervision of more than 200 judges.

Celine Cazé, co-organizer of the event, explains to us what these championships will consist of.

In parallel with the sports competitions, Saturday will be marked by various activities in the federal village on the Parvis de l’Escale. Participants will be able to benefit from partner stands, games and workshops focused on mental well-being, led by professionals such as intuitive eating coaches and yoga teachers. The evening will conclude with a show combining acrogym, rhythmic gymnastics and tumbling.

On Sunday morning, before the awards ceremony, the day will be dedicated to mental well-being with performances of choreography, theater, singing and readings, as well as parades highlighting gymnasts, judges and volunteers, accompanied by movements of giant ensembles of young and old.

The main theme will therefore be mental well-being, to find out more in this answer :

A raffle will also be organized to support Fanny Bourdelas, a para-triathlon athlete suffering from a degenerative visual disease, in order to finance a tandem adapted for her competitions.

The co-organizer explains the reasons for this initiative:
