The Red Cross Competence training site in Bègles mobilized on Monday by organizing the Foulées Rouges at the Stade Serge-Duhourquet. The organization “Croix-Rouge Compétence”, the training sector of the French Red Cross, wanted to “bring together around a friendly sporting practice for an event reserved for its employees and learners. The objective is to virtually connect 32 Red Cross Competence training sites in France and cover a total of 6,000 kilometers. » 5,000 participants attended this event throughout France, including 300 employees and learners in Bègles.
Eric Davaille, regional director of Croix Rouge Compétence Nouvelle-Aquitaine: “This race, which is a highlight for our learners and our employees, illustrates the commitment of Croix Rouge Compétence to healthy sport. Today, more than 300 mobilized people have covered 1,545 kilometers out of the 28,235 kilometers covered by all the other institutes throughout France. A special mention to our partners without whom this event would not have been possible.”

The more global objective of this action is to engage in the “Terre de Jeux 2024” project and to promote healthy sport to encourage physical activity for all.
The collective challenge took the form of running and walking in the morning. Participants were invited to dress or disguise themselves in red in reference to the Red Cross. In the afternoon, several activities were organized: DJ Set with DJ MOON, presence of sports and health prevention stands, guided race tests and introductions to Hip-hop, ultimate, fitness, basketball and rugby and numerous prizes to be won for participants.
The action took place in partnership with the City of Bègles, Maison sport santé, DJ MOON, Associés Crew, Amicale laïque de Bègles, HOC Crossfit Bègles, CDOS 33, the Bègles heart and health club, and the UCPA Aqua Stadium Mérignac.
