Her husband, with whom she was in the process of divorcing, was indicted by the courts for murder. According to BFMTV, Laure Zacchello was “terrified” by her ex-partner, with whom she shared custody of the children in the house they had bought together. She reportedly reported a situation of harassment to the police, but without filing a complaint.
The call for witnesses “obviously relates to Laure Zacchello herself, but also to the search for a red 4×4 type vehicle which could have been used during this period”, according to the words of Bayonne prosecutor Jérôme Bourrier, reported by RTL. The objective is to retrace the journey of the suspect, her husband.

“Laure Zacchello is possibly dead today, possibly the victim of intentional homicide by her partner,” the prosecutor said at a press conference on Thursday June 27.
