After having a success in Lille, Marcus Santos-Silva signs for Saint-Quentin

Julien Mahé is making the final touches to his next squad. The day after the signing of Noah Kirkwood, Saint-Quentin announced the signing of interior Marcus Santos-Silva (2.01 m, 27 years old) for next season.

After having perfectly launched his career in Europe with Lille Métropole Basket, in Pro B (11.6 points on 53.7% shooting, 8.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 interceptions and 1.7 against for 16.6 rating in 38 matches), the American pivot who recently held a Cape Verdean passport – linked to his origins – will thus discover the Betclic Elite and the Basketball Champions League (BCL).

« Marcus completes our racket for next season. Mobile and intense position 5, he had a great season with Lille in Pro B. We are very happy to welcome him », notes his coach Julien Mahé.

A very nice rebound for the native of Boston, trained in the NCAA between VCU (2017-2020) and Texas Tech (2020-2022), who had attempted a second career in American football by signing a year in the NFL, before returning to her first love last summer.
