Baroque effervescences: this is the theme of the next Bourges Baroque Autumn, in line with that of the New Renaissances 2024, the cultural and tourist season of the Centre-Val de Loire region. Elena Bayeul-Gertsman, artistic director of the event, presents it in three concerts… Plus one.

Music between Loire and Bourges

“We had the opportunity to organize an event on December 16,” explains Yves Paillé, secretary of the preservation association. “It will be a concert of Christmas carols from around the world, by Jordi Savall’s daughter and her ensemble.” This same concert will be given on December 14 in Sainte-Gemme-en-Sancerrois, as part of the Boucard festival. “It is a realization of the creation of MusiqueS between Loire and Bourges, an alliance between Musique à Fontmorigny, the Boucard festival and the Baroque Autumn of Bourges.”

This musical union is part of the perspective of Bourges European Capital of Culture 2028, and should allow the three festivals to coordinate their programming, pool their communication and broaden their audiences and their notoriety.
