Nothing is preparing to launch a smartphone at a very low price, the CMF Phone 1. With its unique design and its very honorable technical characteristics, it notably competes with Xiaomi’s Redmi range.
Last year, Nothing announced the launch of CMF, a sub-brand dedicated to affordable smartphones. We can compare this initiative to that of Xiaomi with Redmi. After teasing and revealing part of the design of its first mobile, the CMF Phone 1, CMF by Nothing begins to share the first official technical characteristics.
We learn that the CMF Phone 1 is equipped with a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with refresh rate up to 120 Hz and support for HDR10+. It also promises strong brightness, reaching a peak of 2,000 nits. This is not specified in the manufacturer’s communication, but the definition would be Full HD+ (1080p).

A mid-range spec sheet, an entry-level price
CMF by Nothing will reveal the rest of the technical sheet in the coming days, but we already know what it’s about thanks to leaker Yogesh Brar. The CMF Phone 1 is powered by a puce Dimensity 7300 de MediaTek and comes in two RAM configurations: 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM. Only one storage option is provided, at 128GB, but with a microSD slot to expand storage up to 2TB.
Autonomy is entrusted to a 5,000 mAh battery, with 33W fast charging. The photo part consists of a 50 MP sensor associated with a module dedicated to calculating the depth of field, useful in particular for the bokeh effect of portrait mode. A 16 MP selfie camera is present on the front.
The CMF Phone 1 stands out with an original design, both in terms of color and small dial in lower corner. On the other hand, it is deprived of the Glyph aesthetic which has made the reputation of Nothing smartphones. The device would be delivered under Android 14. The source mentions a price of 15,999 or 17,999 rupees (179 or 202 euros) in India for the launch offer, a very attractive price. In Europe, it will be a little more expensive, but should retain very attractive value for money.
