The Haitian right side, Carlens Arcus joined SCO Angers on a free basis this Wednesday, June 26 after his departure from Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem. The 27-year-old signed a two-season contract with Angers. The Angevins made the news official on their website and social networks this Wednesday, June 26.

Several experiences in France

The neo-right back of the SCO, from the training of Racing Club Haitien, played in many French clubs in the past. The one who landed in France in 2015 first wore the colors of Troyes, where he played three professional matches. That year, he was crowned Ligue 2 champion with the Trojans. Subsequently, the Haitian headed north, signing at LOSC with whom he participated in four Coupe de France matches. In 2017, when he was sent on loan to AJ Auxerre by Cercle Bruges, he managed to showcase his talent and his qualities, so much so that he quickly took on the role of indisputable holder.

A year later, he made a definitive commitment to the AJA. Between 2017 and 2022, Arcus will have played no less than 161 matches with the Burgundians according to West France (3 goals and 13 assists). Before joining SCO, the 27-year-old right defender played two seasons in the Netherlands at Vitesse Arnhem. The experience of Arcus must have been an important factor in the choice made by the SCO of Angers. This arrival allows the Angevins, just promoted to the elite, to strengthen their ranks with a view to the launch of Ligue 1 next August. Carlens Arcus will come to densify the right defensive corridor of the SCO after the departure of Yan Valery to Sheffield Wednesday.
