February 2, 1952 – June 24, 2024
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Rick.
Rick was predeceased by his parents Don and Florence Campbell; his sister Kathy Palmer and in-laws Bill and Florence Atkins. Rick leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 49 years, Edie; son Keith (Anita); his sister Susan Campbell; his eighter brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law and his pride and joys, his two grandkids, Taylor and Hannah, whom he would do anything for.
Rick was born and raised in Portage La Prairie, MB, later moving to Selkirk, MB, where he met his wife Edie and started a family. The family later moved to Gilliam, MB where he continued to work for Hydro and then settling down in Clandeboye, MB, working for Hydro until retirement.
Rick was a loving husband, father, friend and brother-in-law and most importantly PAPA.
Rick was an avid sports player from playing hockey with the Selkirk Steelers, playing fastball with the Selkirk Athletics to later coaching minor hockey throughout different levels.
Once retired, he could be found down at Tim Hortons coffee shop, the local garage catching up on the daily news, or even the place of employment where either one of his grandkids were working, either bringing them lunch or filling up their vehicles with a jerry can of gas.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and a get together will be held at a later date.
