The occupants of the “Aigues Marine” residence on boulevard de Clavel in La Ciotat were evacuated as a precaution.
This Thursday, June 27, 2024, around 9:30 a.m., a vegetation fire started near the “Jean Bouissou” municipal stadium located on Boulevard de Clavel in La Ciotat. Residents of the “les Aigues Marines” Residence were evacuated as a precaution.

As a safety measure, the perimeter was cordoned off throughout the emergency response, while thick black smoke spread into the sky.
Thanks to the rapid and coordinated intervention of the teams on site, the fire was quickly brought under control, thus avoiding further spread and additional damage.
BURNING IN CAUSE?
According to our information, a gardener was carrying out fire burning nearby when the cypress hedge at the residence caught fire. An investigation will nevertheless be carried out to determine the exact causes of this fire and prevent new incidents of this type in the future.
