This weekend, Pierrefitte-Nestalas will be celebrating to honor, as every year, the patron saint Saint Peter, celebrated on June 29 in the Christian calendar. In the town, Saint-Pierre is not only a business meeting, but also emblematic of living together. For several weeks now, the festival committee has been on deck to prepare wonderful village festivals on June 28, 29 and 30. Despite a program somewhat disrupted by the legislative elections this Sunday, the dynamic and joyful team of the festival committee put together a rich and varied program throughout the weekend. The festivities will begin on Friday evening June 28 with an aperitif/tapas and the broadcast of the top 14 final at the Pierrefitte-Nestalas village hall. On Saturday, at 11 a.m., the day will begin with music with the presentation of songs by students from the Pierrefitte and Soulom schools. A concert which will mark the work carried out in class throughout the year and will symbolize the end of the school year. Then at the Park, the parents’ association “La Récré” will offer activities, catering and refreshments (meal reservations at 06 34 46 66 26). The entire afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., will be devoted to the Games fest, where various activities will be organized by local associations and partners. At 7 p.m., it’s time for athletes with the “Pierrefitte-Nestalas Festival Prize”, a cycling race organized by the Pierrefitte-Luz bike club. The evening will continue with music still in the park with a ball with “Podium Manhattan”, refreshment bar and catering on site in partnership with the Patrick Miroir butcher (burger, paninis, tapas). In case of bad weather, retreat to the village hall. On Sunday, due to the organization of the legislative elections, the program was modified: the meal and the activities were canceled, but the mass led by “Los Muchachos” was maintained at 10:30 a.m.
