If they want to hope to participate in the next Gold Cup, the Yana Dòkò must win by a wide margin. In the first leg last Thursday, Belize won two goals to one against Yana Dòkò. Trailing two to zero, they managed to reduce the score at the end of the match in order to preserve their chance of competing in the Gold Cup preliminaries in June 2025.
Everything will therefore be decided in this return match this Tuesday evening, both for the Guyanese and their opponents. On the Yana side, the group received reinforcement with the arrival in Paramaribo on Saturday of seven additional players: the vast majority of them attackers. Among them: Jules Haabo, Joël Sarruco and Calvin Soga. These players will have the mission of scoring the goals that Yana missed in the first match.
Regrouped since Saturday afternoon, the team was able to train, unlike during the trip to Belize. We remember: the Yana Dòkò arrived the same day they were to play the match.
