An 18-year-old boy died Tuesday evening in Disraeli, in Chaudière-Appalaches.
Around 6:30 p.m., emergency services were called to a seriously injured individual on Marcotte Road. A security perimeter is still in place Wednesday morning.
The victim was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) does not confirm that gunshots were heard on Chemin Marcotte, but indicates that marks of violence were visible on the victim. Unfortunately, it is still too early to say anything about the murder weapon.
specifies Élisabeth Marquis-Guy, information officer for the SQ.
The young man was known in police circles. Agents from the Crimes Against Persons Investigation Department are responsible for the investigation. The forensic identification service also visited the scene.
At the moment there is also no confirmation that this is a murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
