A call for applications for innovative projects as part of the second edition of the “Up to start by IMT” competition.

A major player in entrepreneurship and innovation in the regions, the Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) is launching the second edition of its national competition “Up To Start by IMT”, aiming to promote the emergence of industrial gems of tomorrow. The objective is simple, until June 30, to allow 25 high-impact entrepreneurial projects to receive free support in one of the 12 incubators of the IMT engineering and management schools, including that of IMT Mimes Alès.

A competition for the creation of innovations

The competition is aimed at start-ups in the creation phase and those created less than 18 months ago, linked to the themes of the responsible future industry, digital sovereignty and sobriety, health and well-being engineering, as well as energy, circular economy and society.

Until June 30, applications are open on the IMT website. July 4, pre-selection of eligible projects. From July 9 to 11, hearings of eligible project leaders. July 18, notification of winners. From September 2024, it is integration within the incubators.

In search of the companies of tomorrow

Each incubator has its own technological specialties, making it possible to support and meet the needs of each start-up project. That of IMT Mines Alès is specialized in innovative materials, eco-materials and life cycle of materials, the IT and artificial intelligence sector, finally the establishment is positioned on environmental issues, energy , and sustainable management of resources (particularly water).

€100 million for business start-ups

Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, the Institut Mines-Télécom contributes to innovation and entrepreneurship.

It is the first public group of major engineering and management schools in France. With its ten schools, it trains more than 13,300 students. Each year the IMT group supports nearly 130 innovative projects, bringing growth and value, which are supported, and raise a total of €100 million for the start-up of young incubated companies.
