Algerian international center forward Riad Benayad had a memorable evening yesterday by sending his team to the final of the Morocco Cup at the end of the suspense with a double in stoppage time.
The meeting between Raja Casablanca and MC Oujda was played behind closed doors at the Agadir stadium and it was the MCO players who opened the scoring very early in the game.
Raja thought they could turn the tide thanks to their scorer Zerhouni, who scored twice (20th and 30th) but the Oujda team managed to equalize before the end of regulation time.
In overtime MC Oujda adds a third goal from the penalty spot but the Algerian striker who entered the game will push the game into the second overtime.
Benayad receives a ball in the area, hooks an opponent before sending a cross shot which deceives the goalkeeper, 3-3 in the 109th minute.
Ten minutes later, as we move towards penalties, the same Benayad who rushes down the right wing deceives the goalkeeper again to give his team the victory, 4-3.
Raja, already champion of Morocco and who received his trophy on the pitch, will face AS FAR in the cup final.
Loaned this winter by ES Tunis, Benayad has scored 4 goals for Raja so far.
