A refusal to comply generally conceals one or even several other offenses. And the one faced by the Oise gendarmes on November 11 is a perfect example as the motorist finally arrested had multiple offenses. He also ended up in prison, we learned on Saturday.

As is often the case, the case started with a simple traffic stop. Stationed on the RN31 on Armistice Day, motorcyclists from the Clermont motorized brigade, in Oise, chased a vehicle which was traveling at 30 km/h above the maximum authorized speed. Except that instead of stopping, the motorist tried to outrun his pursuers, “endangering other users”, note the gendarmes.

No less than 6 misdemeanors or infractions

The fugitive in his Opel Corsa probably thought he would find salvation by reaching the motorway. Serious error. Supported by the rapid intervention team and its Alpine, the gendarmerie motorcyclists were finally able to intercept the driver on the A1. The soldiers quickly understood why he had tried to flee. Speeding, without a license and without insurance, the man was in possession and under the influence of drugs.

Tried in immediate appearance at the end of his police custody, he was sentenced to “10 months in prison with a committal warrant” specified the gendarmes.
