A true football legend, Zinédine Zidane has taken a step back from the field and is now enjoying his family.
Still considered one of the greatest French footballers, like Michel Platini, Zinédine Zidane became a coach after his retirement as a player. He then coached Real Madrid players from 2013 to 2021, first as an assistant, before finally taking control of the team. Very attached to Spain, he owns a huge house there, in which he lives most of the time.

Known for his discretion despite his great notoriety, Zinédine Zidane recently met our colleagues from GQ in a shellfish restaurant in Madrid. According to them, this place corresponds rather well to “the discreet, simple and passionate life that Zizou has built for himself”.
He then returned to the start of his new life in Spain. “When we arrived in Madrid, we lived in an apartment with a very small garden. I remember playing with them on the top floor and having to get down on my knees because of the attic roof. I did things with it Fortunately Théo and Elyaz spared me a little afterwards.”confided the one who now lives in a huge villa.
After leaving his position as coach, Zinédine Zidane was able to enjoy a quieter life, with his family and in particular his grandchildren. “I love what I do and I’m able to work a lot but every now and then, and this has happened to me twice, I need to pull the plug. Today I just enjoy life , I have time to go see my parents if I want, to have lunch with my wife and my children when I’m in Madrid, to spend time with my friends. All that is only possible. ‘taking a step back, my life is still going at two hundred miles an hour but I feel fresh here!’he explained to GQ. As a reminder, he has lived for more than thirty years with his wife Véronique, with whom he had four boys, Enzo (1995), Luca (1998), Théo (2002) and Elyaz (2005).

Zizou’s house in Madrid
As reported Purepeople, Zinédine Zidane has owned this house for more than twenty years. This is located not far from Madrid airport and is estimated at more than 6 million euros. According to the Spanish magazine Fridayowned by the former Real Madrid coach “extends over a little over 1,000 m²” and would have been built by the architect Joaquin Torres. The latter would have been inspired by the luxury George V hotel in Paris.
“Outside, the residence stands out for its large garden, its swimming pool and even a private football field (…) The landscaper, renowned for his work at the Port Aventura amusement park, was able to create a harmonious environment and welcoming, conducive to relaxation and conviviality”noted The house newspaper. On his land, Zizou can also benefit from a gym to continue working out.
