ÇIt’s active! If talks drag on with Laszlo Bölöni for the end of his contract, the rest of the events seem to be becoming clearer. The Garnet leaders would have set their sights on the ex-US Concarneau coach Stéphane Le Mignan, according to information from L’Equipe, thus leaving aside the Stéphane Dumont track.
Indeed, Frédéric Arpinon, new Metz sports director, would have kept “cordial relations” with the 50-year-old technician for several years. Thus, the two parties would already be making progress on the training of the staff who would take over. To support him, Mickaël Delestrez should take on the role of assistant coach, replacing Christophe Delmotte.
Accustomed to training the youth squads of LOSC (a participation in the Youth League) or Lens, the fifty-year-old man is today technical director of the training center and coach of the Toulouse U19s. A profile which would therefore suit the low average age of the Metz workforce made available at the moment.
