After a disappointing season, where Stade Rennais finished in 10th place in Ligue 1, the Breton club hopes to launch a new cycle next season. The squad should change drastically with several departures and arrivals. Although considered an important element of the team by president Olivier Cloarec, Enzo Le Fée could already leave the club after only one season.

The Fairy should join AS Roma

Recruited for €20 million in the summer of 2023 from Lorient, Enzo Le Fée has started 19 times this season in Ligue 1, in the red and black colours. The midfielder had an average season like his team. He had a difficult start to the season before enjoying a good run during the winter, starting several times. The player then got injured at the end of February, which stopped his momentum. Upon his return at the end of March, the player never managed to regain a starting place.

Under contract until 2028, Le Fée’s departure seems inevitable. Former Nice sporting director Florent Ghisolfi is now head of AS Roma’s recruitment unit. Ghisolfi has also decided to do his shopping in Rennes, since Roma are interested in Arnaud Kalimuendo, Guela Doué and Enzo Le Fée. AS Roma would have taken action for Enzo Le Fée. She would already have an agreement with the playerr and would have already made an offer to Stade Rennais which would have been refused. The Italian club offered €18 million, but the Breton club would like to at least recover the €20 million of its initial investment. AS Roma could quickly meet the demand. The club makes Le Fée one of the priorities of the transfer window.

Rennes should not retain its player and could use the sum of its sale to continue to renew its squad for the season which begins at the beginning of August.
