A new promotional campaign for the Agadir Souss Massa destination has just been launched on the occasion of the start of the summer season which coincides with the celebration of the music festival.
Called “Azul Agadir”, the new promotional campaign for Souss-Massa wants to position the region as a flagship destination this season for Moroccan and foreign tourists. The launching ceremony of this initiative took place in the presence of the president of the Municipal Council of Agadir, Aziz Akhannouch, the wali of the Souss-Massa region, governor of the prefecture of Agadir Ida-Outanane, Said Amzazi, and the president of the Council of the Souss-Massa region, Karim Achengli. Initiated by the wilaya of the Souss-Massa region, the Souss-Massa region, and the commune of Agadir in partnership with the Regional Tourism Council, the Tourism SDRs and the Rural Tourism Development Network, this promotional campaign is part as part of efforts to boost tourism in the Souss-Massa region through the promotion of all facets of this unique destination which combines the seaside with the hinterland. In a statement to MAP, Rachid Boukhanfer, vice-president of the Souss-Massa region, underlined that the promotional actions will highlight the richness of local culture, the offer of cultural and artistic entertainment, the activities aquatic and mountain leisure activities, tourist circuits and historical sites in the region. The objective is to offer the tourist a unique experience that combines a festive summer atmosphere and immersion in the heart of authentic Amazigh culture, he added. This promotional campaign is marked by a rich and varied program which reflects the beauty and richness of the authentic Amazigh heritage of the Souss-Massa region.
Water park
Furthermore, the tourist offer in Agadir was enriched by the opening on Friday of a new aquatic entertainment park. The opening ceremony of this project took place in the presence of Aziz Akhannouch, Said Amzazi and Karim Achengli. This park offers a variety of state-of-the-art attractions, including a lazy river approximately 1 km long and a 16 meter high Aqua Tower. This entertainment space which brings a new dynamic to the tourist offer of the city of Agadir and its region also has several restaurants offering various specialties and fast food options. It offers interactive “Night Shows” including acrobat performances, high-speed “globe of death” motorcycles, national and international entertainment teams. In a statement to MAP, Taib Yadouche, deputy director of the park, indicated that this innovative project in terms of tourist activities will play a crucial role in strengthening the attractiveness of the city of Agadir, making the latter the ideal destination for family entertainment. He added that this park, which covers a total area of 5 hectares, will also contribute to economic growth by creating jobs for young people.
