As part of his tours in the various universities of Senegal, the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Doctor Abdourahmane Diouf, was this Saturday in Sine-Saloum.
He visited the Fatick, Mbadakhoune and Kaffrine campuses before ending his visit at the University of Sine-Saloum El Hadj Ibrahima Niass (USSEIN). He took the opportunity to signal that he intends to provide clear answers to the difficult working conditions by tackling three major points: “the budget, infrastructure and recruitment”. Indeed, the University of Sine-Saloum with an agricultural vocation for food security, sustainable development and prosperity, will make him say: “The charm of your university is that it is thematic and centered on agricultural issues”. “This is all the more striking since both the PM and President Diomaye give pride of place to food self-sufficiency in their actions and whose base constitutes agriculture, which itself is a real engine of development in Africa,” he notes. And added: “I am reassured by what I found there and I will report it to President Faye. Above all, I will tell him that you need support from him to continue to provide results that are more than beneficial to our country in the field of research and innovation…”
