Castres. Young people from the local mission in Italy

For the first year, 8 young people from the Tarn Sud Local Mission spent a stay in Italy, which allowed them to confirm their professional project and discover a European country.

During this stay in Genoa from May 26 to June 15, 2024 with Viramonde, the young interns benefited from cultural visits in particular to Pisa, culinary workshops, Italian lessons, learning about collective life, as well as an internship location adapted to their project.

Anthony has developed skills in audiovisual production and the cultivation of aromatic plants, Brian in reception management of a personal assistance association, Héléna in reception and drinks service of an association bar, Kéryan in management of activities and animations in a crèche, Lorna in management of activities in a home for young unaccompanied minors, Manon in animation through manual work in a work integration center, Mylène in management of activities in a toy store, and Simon in production audiovisual and bakery.

An unforgettable experience rich in emotions for this group of “young adventurers” from Europe!

This European mobility experience is possible thanks to La Région Occitanie and the Erasmus + program of the European Commission.

The local Tarn Sud Mission is organizing a second trip to Vicenza in Italy, for young people aged 16 to 25 from October 19 to November 17.

As a reminder, the Tarn Sud Local Mission aims, in partnership with local authorities and the State, to promote the integration of young people aged 16 to 25 who are not in school, and to fight against exclusion. Its role is to welcome, inform and guide all young people to enable them to access employment and independence.
