After the inter-union demonstration of June 15, 2024, feminist collectives and associations took to the streets all over France, this Sunday June 23, to mobilize against the far right. The event will take place in several cities, including Toulouse. Here is the detail.

A departure from Jean-Jaurès

In the Pink City, the meeting is given on Sunday June 23 in the morning, at 11 a.m., in Jean-Jaurès. The procession will head towards Compans Caffarelli. Collectives, unions and parties are mobilizing “to block the National Rally”.

“It is an event organized by the feminist inter-organization of Toulouse, this inter-orga brings together feminist organizations (NousToustes31, APIAF, etc.), unions (Solidaires 31, CGT 31, etc.) and political parties (LFI , EELV, NPA), details NousToutes31, contacted by Toulouse News. This is a demonstration following the call from Alertes Féministes. »

A call from Feminist Alerts

“The far right must step back, not our rights!” The Women’s Foundation is mobilized with Alertes Féministes alongside more than 180 organisations », is indicated in the national press release from the Women’s Foundation.

“We know that the extreme right is primarily obsessed with breaking the rights and freedoms of a huge part of the population: women, racialized, disabled, trans and LGBTQIA+ people, migrants, girls and children. We also know that it will tackle the entire social movement head-on.” This Sunday, “we will sound feminist alerts. Because we know that our rights are not never acquired forever.”

Many people will therefore be in the streets, in Toulouse, “to call for a massive vote for a future that allows the emancipation and freedom of all”, concludes the Women’s Foundation in its press release.
