The Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art has been bringing contemporary art to the center of Montreal and Quebec life for nearly 60 years. In order to carry out its mission, the MAC is looking for its new Head of digital communications who will actively participate in making the institution shine at an important stage in its history.

OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications and Visitor Experience, the incumbent supports internal partners in the publication of various content on the MAC’s sites, newsletters and social networks and in the use of digital publication tools. He/she ensures that execution is carried out in compliance with the standards and best practices put in place. He/she ensures or coordinates the writing and production of content broadcast in the organization’s various digital media.

With a great curiosity for technology and its applications to the customer experience, you have a strong sense of creativity. Your aptitude for content production allows you to respond to the various promotional and informational needs of the institution. Agile, organized and flexible, you know how to demonstrate influence and collaboration on a daily basis.

ABOUT YOU

You have these skills:

  • Hold a university degree in one of the following disciplines: multimedia, digital media management, digital marketing, or other relevant disciplines;
  • Have five (5) years of experience in managing digital media, platforms and content and in content optimization;
  • Good knowledge of best practices in SEO (search engine optimization), web accessibility, user experience;
  • Experience with content management tools (CMS) including WordPress;
  • Familiarity with YouTube environments, Meta Business Suite, as well as content planning tools such as Hootsuite;
  • Good understanding of Google Analytics;
  • Skills in filming and editing videos (reels) and/or using Canva, an asset.

You demonstrate these skills:

  • Excellent command of the spoken and written French language and good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing;
  • Team spirit;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills;
  • Excellent management of priorities and sense of initiative;
  • Spirit of analysis and synthesis, curiosity;
  • Rigor and attention to detail.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This posting aims to provide a regular full-time position, within the Marketing, Communications and Visitor Experience Department.

The Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art is a state company of the Quebec government which offers excellent working conditions and generous social benefits.

Salary : From $48,032 to $91,114 per year
