According to our colleagues from France Bleu, in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, the Nancy court will hear the organizer of the famous motorcycle race, Enduro Val de Lorraine, this Friday.
He is in fact accused of not taking care of the trees during the races which bring together a little more than 700 drivers each year during the spring. This event attracts many people from France but also from Europe.
The association accuses the organizer of mutilating the trees
President Raynald Rigolot of the Flore 54 collective protests against what he calls mutilations of trees. He thus criticizes the organizer of the event for having left staples on the trunks of the trees, which would contribute to the deterioration of the forest. The collective has become a civil party in court in order to be heard on these issues.
As for the organizer of the motorcycle race, he confesses not to understand this legal summons. He considers that he has put measures in place so as not to harm biodiversity during the event. For his part, the mayor of the town of Faulx explains that he works in consultation with all the stakeholders. The court will rule on this issue soon.
