The residence will have 56 parking spaces, including three for people with disabilities. There will be 49 spaces underground and seven above ground. It will also be equipped with closed bicycle parking.
This project responds to several public policies. It corresponds to a requirement for urban densification by being built on existing buildings and not consuming new land. The project is part of the continuity of the building on rue Lamothe. It responds to a need for urban renewal. The project takes into account the landscape and town planning and has an ecological component. If the architecture will be contemporary in expression, the materials used and the facade will fit into the Albigensian setting.
The environment plays a big role in the project. The roof of the terrace will be green. Parking spaces grassed so that water can drain away. A significant effort was made to preserve as many trees as possible. Around the building, there will be a green space of 1,407 m2. The objective “is to create an island of greenery and freshness and to preserve biodiversity”. Especially since the residence will be located at the entrance to the city’s largest park.
