In Toronto, voters in Ward 15 (Don Valley West) will go to the polls on November 4 to choose a successor to city councillor Jaye Robinson, who died last May.

The city council declared former councillor Robinson’s seat vacant at its June 26 meeting. Councillors opted for a by-election to replace her.

The nomination period for candidates will begin on July 22, the City said in a press release.

Interested parties have until September 19 to apply.

Voters will be able to vote in advance on the weekend of October 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voting by mail will also be possible.

Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on November 4.
