Following the inclusion of the city on the decree list of the climate and resilience law and the launch of the development partnership project (PPA) carried by Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée, elected officials approved the necessary evolution of the PLU in order to integrate , in its regulations, the projections of the decline of the coastline and the resulting urban transformation strategies of the coastline.

Likewise, the council voted to take into account the orientations of the planning and sustainable development project (PADD) which were clarified and completed: addition of the city center operation and other ongoing projects, extension of the PLU horizon of 12 years, development of businesses in the Barnier area, adjustment of the number of housing creations, updating of the calculation of buildable areas over time.

Continue the city center operation

As part of the Bourg-centre contract for the revitalization of old centers, the major project to restore the facades of the heart of the town and the center of La Peyrade is continuing. Form partnerships in favor of the environment

The municipality is acting to preserve the environment and raise public awareness of the issues of ecological transition. Improving the living environment in priority neighborhoods

With regard to the city contract program neighborhoods 2030the council voted in favor of the recruitment of a facilitator under an adult relay contract and the allocation of subsidies amounting to €13,410 to the leaders of associative projects in order to promote social integration, to enliven life neighborhood and improve living conditions in the priority sector Heart of town in Calmette.

Contribute to community life

In addition to the allocation voted during the April 2024 municipal council for associations, elected officials validated the allocation of a total of €3,300 in subsidies to the National Police Staff Association Sète-Frontignan and at the OCCE of Terres Blanches elementary school.

Furthermore, the municipal council notably debated and approved the following provisions:

  • Authorizations for signing the project management contracts and participatory town planning mission on the La Peyrade intergenerational park project, i.e., on the one hand, the program and execution of the work in two phases for a forecast budget of €1,680,800 excluding tax and on the other hand, the design and development of the site with the participation of residents for a budget estimated at €315,000 excluding tax;
  • the financing plan for the works on rue des Lierles relating to the burying of the overhead electricity and telecommunications networks and the renovation of public lighting as well as the signing of the financial agreement with Hérault Energies relating thereto. The forecast expenditure for the city, which amounts to €53,472.29 including tax, is part of the process of requalifying public space.
  • the continuation of work to extend the Roger-Michel crèche to improve the conditions for welcoming children and working staff, concerning at this stage the “grown-up” sector (acoustic treatment, air conditioning, redevelopment of the dormitory and the changing room, installation of solar panels);
  • the contribution to the Sainte-Thérèse private school for the year 2024 in the amount of €130,889.61 intended to finance class operating expenses;
  • the renewal of the agreement between the department of Hérault, Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée and the city for the installation on the beach of the “Reading at the sea” straw hut during the summer.
